Bible Scripture Quotes Banner Romans Chapter 14 verse 17

The kingdom of God is not a place but an experience. To get this experience one has to receive the Holy Spirit. To receive the Holy Spirit one has to believe in Jesus Christ.

Therefore when one believes in Jesus Christ all sins are forgiven and the gift of the Holy Spirit is given as a Helper.

The Holy Spirit convinces us that all is well because God is on our side. This keeps our mind in a state of calmness which is called peace. This assurance also feels us with the highest form of happiness called joy. The Holy Spirit also animates us to do only those things that are right or which are pleasing to God.

Righteousness, peace and joy are not dependent on material things like food and drink but are supernatural (beyond the natural).

The gifts of the Holy Spirit can be classified into two categories. 1. Personal Gifts 2. Gifts of Service Personal Gifts These are also called as Isaiahian Gifts or Traditional Gifts and are listed in Isaiah 11:1-3 and are seven in number. The personal gifts are given to every person at the time of baptism. These gifts are given to help a person grow in holiness or to help a person to bear fruit. Although the gifts are present they have to be regularly stirred by prayer, study of scriptures and meditation. The measure of the gifts working in every person is different and depends on spiritual efforts of prayer, study of scriptures and meditation.
