This is a promise of reward and protection to all those who believe and have a personal relationship with the God who created heaven and earth. In simple words God says whoever does good to you will receive good from me but whoever does harm to you will be taken to task. Many will do bad things to us but we are not called to seek revenge but just let God handle the matter. We need to just pray that the suffering allowed by God to come in the lives of these people bring them to the realization of their mistakes and that they too may begin a personal relationship with him. In this way we will not only keep our happiness in this earthly life but also secure are rewards in heaven.
