Material And Spiritual Throughout salvation history God has used material things to teach spiritual matters. The gifts of the Holy Spirit can be classified into two categories. 1. Personal Gifts 2. Gifts of Service Personal Gifts These are also called as Isaiahian Gifts or Traditional Gifts and are listed in Isaiah 11:1-3 and are seven in number. The personal gifts are given to every person at the time of baptism. These gifts are given to help a person grow in holiness or to help a person to bear fruit.
