But we can receive perfect love, joy and peace from God in unlimited quantities. However the more we give to others the less we are left with. Therefore we need to draw from a source that is unlimited. If we only give without drawing from God than over a period of time we will get empty and burn out. If you met an unbeliever who wanted to know about Jesus how would you begin? Who is Jesus? Jesus is the son of God who came to earth and became man to tell us about the love of God and how sin had broken our relationship with him. He then offered himself as a sacrifice on the cross to obtain forgiveness for our sins. As proof that his sacrifice was accepted God raised him from the dead, took him to heaven and made him king over heaven and earth.  Now everyone who believes in Jesus, repents and is baptized receives complete forgiveness of all sins and his relationship as a child of God is restored and he is rewarded with eternal life. Proper understanding of both these dimensions will help us locate the root causes of our problems much more easily and correctly.  Man has two dimensions to his being i.e. soul and body . The soul is that dimension of man which consists of two faculties - mind and heart.  The mind is the place of the intellect . It enables to react or respond to events or happenings. It can think, reason, know, understand, memorize, recall, create, plan, visualize, etc. The heart is the deepest part or core of the soul.  From here arise all the desires . This is also the seat of emotions .  Emotions are feelings corresponding to reactions or responses of the mind.  This is the place where one  exercises  one's will to make serious, permanent and irrevocable decisions or choices. The verses in the book of Exodus 20:5-6 are one of the most controversial in the Bible. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me, but showing steadfast love to the thousandth generation of those who love me and keep my commandments.
